AKROTECH 4000 LOW AIR LOSS THERAPY SYSTEM

AkroTech 4000 consists of an air flotation mattress and a microcomputer- based air control unit that integrates with the footboard of a bed. The AkroTech 4000 Low Air Loss Therapy Bed System is effective in healing patients with multiple Stage III and IV wounds, as well as recent flap surgeries. Its extra features are beneficial for pain management and increased circulation. Mattress pressure never exceeds 20mm Hg. for optimum pressure relief, allowing for a normal healthy flow of blood to nourish tissue cells.
The AkroTech 4000 offers comparable therapy to an Air Fluidized bed without the extra weight, heat and risk of dehydration to the patient, and extreme expense to the facility.

Breathable Therapy Cover

The AkroTech 4000 mattress includes a loose fitting, low friction cover, which is coated with a monolithic membrane. It is non- micro-porous to prevent bacterial migration, yet, breathable for patient comfort and maximum therapy benefits. The AkroTech cover unzips for changing, and is machine washable.

Bridging

Adjusting pressure in each of the six independent sections of the mattress makes it possible to achieve a custom profile with ultra low pressure in selected areas of a patient’s body. This is generated by increasing the pressure in surrounding areas, which can support higher pressure, and lower the pressure in wound site areas for maximum therapeutic benefit.

Dynamic Therapy

Alternating inflation and deflation of the AkroTech mattress section generates a pulsating action that gently massages the skin to facilitate capillary circulation, which in turn may help promote the healing process. The length of time for this dynamic therapy is preset or can be adjusted.
